Okay I'll lay out the facts, not sure if someone has done this yet or not, if so I apologize and this can be deleted.
I'm sure most of you know about the story of Casey Anthony and Caylee Anthony, if not, go here Death of Caylee Anthony
Now first question is. Do you think Casey Anthony is innocent or not, and why
Next question is Should she be allowed to adopt, even if she is "innocent"

My personal opinion is, She may or may not of done it, but it's still too unclear to be sure, and by that means, surely she shouldn't be allowed to adopt.

the courts said she didn't do it, so she didn't do it. doesn't change the fact that she is a demonstrably negligent (at least) parent, and so should never be allowed to have another child by any means.

Even if the court said she didnt do it Casey was a bad mother anyway who didnt take care of Caylee. What the hell would she need to adopt some kids now? This is what she wanted.. time to go party so now she gots it. She dont need anymore kids.

I don't even know where to begin.

I have no clue if we will ever figure out what happened to that girl, despite having a lot of facts but nothing 'hardcore' that says Casey is responsible(though I can openly admit that i believe she murdered her child).

Last year I watched the entire trail, from start to finish. Was so shocked when they came back with a not guilty verdict. In any case if she adopts, I hope she changes her identity. What child would want to grow up knowing they're the adopted child of suspected child murderer Casey Anthony?

She apparently told her parents that she didn't even know who the father of Caylee were because she slept with several guys(or she was possibly taken advantage of I forget which) during a party when she was drunk.

Anyway this is just one of those cases and events in life where one person can take it and use it not to make any mistakes such as leaving your child unattended etc.

I guess she isn't guilty under technicalities, but its obvious that she's not good mother material. Even given another identity, I don't believe she should be given the right to adopt / have children under any circumstances, to let her do so would be a grievous mistake and would be potentially condemning the child that she'd have care of.

Her child is missing yet she spends her time partying and taking stupid duck face pictures for Facebook.
I don't know if she's guilty or not. Only she knows, but she shouldn't be allowed to adopt a child.

What? You wannah peace of me?

if the court says she is innocent doesn't excuse the fact that she is a horrible parent like every one else says she shouldn't step in a care home and ask for a child i mean she is that unfit to look after a vulnerable life how can she look after another after that?

Just because the court said she is innocent doesn't actually mean she is innocent. Many reason court could declare that lack of evidence for example.

I do think she is guilty there is no way a child goes missing for days and she never reports and is out partying, you're supposed to report a missing child after 24 hours heck the girl was 3 or 4 so idvday even less than 24 hours.

As for adopting a kid I do not believe she should ever be allowed to adopt

nope. the courts said she didn't commit murder, she didn't commit murder. it's as simple as that. as long as anyone convicted by the courts is automatically assumed to actually be guilty (HAH!), then anyone acquitted by the courts must be automatically assumed to be innocent.

the only thing she's guilty of is being a horrible parent.

but the general assumption is that if you are convicted, you are guilty, and if you are acquitted, you are guilty. i was simply pointing out that as long as people who are convicted are automatically assumed to actually be guilty, then those who are acquitted should automatically be assumed to be innocent.

From a purely legal stand-point, if you're acquitted, you are classed as innocent. Verdicts are dealt in absolutes.

Although, just because she's innocent in the eyes of the Law, doesn't mean that she didn't do it.

If they let her adopt a child, they might-as-well make her find it first, since it will most likely go missing.

I hate her, I do. Yes , i'm bias. But as a father, she did the worse things as a mother. Waited a long period to report her infant MISSING!

I believe she is guilty.
Should she be able to adopt, even though she is "innocent"? Absolutely not.

been watching a series called "Angry Grandpa" he has some words on the matter, I'm bias too on this matter, I don't care if she didn't do it or not, just the sheer amount of neglect she has shown towards her daughter, "who trusted her, loved her, put her faith in her, and she let her down" - quote, from Angry Grandpa. She's blown her first chance as a mother, why on earth should she get another, I mean, it's not gold fish or a pet parrot we're talking about here, it's a damned life at stake.
